The 2019 Turtle Walk program is a great way for you to engage in conservation efforts and learn more about sea turtle biology. The evening will start with a presentation given by an EAI biologist (lasting about 45-60 min) covering sea turtle biology, the nesting process, and threats to sea turtles. If our scout on the beach identifies a loggerhead turtle in the appropriate stage of nesting to bring the group out, we will go to that location to watch the nesting process. The staff at EAI specializes in sea turtle research and works under a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Marine Turtle Permit. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for you to join us under the direction of our experts to ensure the safety of the sea turtles and to expand your knowledge about these amazing creatures.
