David Simpson – Birding, Wildlife & the Wonders of Florida
St. Lucie Audubon Society is excited to welcome David Simpson as our first guest speaker of the 2026–2027 season!
With more than 30 years of experience exploring and leading birding tours throughout Florida, David brings an incredible depth of knowledge about Florida's birds, wildlife, habitats, native plants, and natural history. His experience includes leading field trips and educational programs for birding festivals and conservation organizations throughout the state.
David is also an accomplished birder with an impressive record of Florida birding achievements, including multiple American Birding Association records. His extensive experience in the field—and his ability to share that knowledge with both beginning and experienced birders—makes him a wonderful addition to our speaker lineup.
Through Birding with David Simpson, David provides birding tours, guiding, presentations and educational programs throughout Florida. His programs can cover everything from birds and bird identification to the many other fascinating creatures and natural treasures found throughout our state.
