MARCH: GOOD-BYE AND THANK YOU, MARC

It is with sadness that we report the passing of our chapter Treasurer, Marc Rosenthal, on February 4, 2019.  Marc served the chapter for many years, volunteering his organizational and financial skills to transact business on behalf of the chapter.  He gave many hours in service keeping records and providing information to members, helping at events, and posting his sightings as a birder on our social media page.  He will be greatly missed by many.

On a brighter note, Conservation Chair Diane Goldberg and I had the honor of serving as judges again at the 2019 St. Lucie Regional STEM Fair on February 8, 2019.  Click here to read more about this event.

We selected three winning projects for the Grace Stock Environmental Award, and the student winners have been invited to our April meeting to present their projects and receive their awards from the chapter – don’t miss it!

Our Public Relations Chair, Ruth Neese, has been eagerly tracking the travels of the Swallow-tailed Kites as they make their way back to Florida for the season!  Let us know if you’ve seen by sending an email through the website or posting on our FaceBook page by clicking here.

Happy Birding!
